A crystal ball for 2019: how the in-housing debate will evolve | The Drum

Interesting article continuing the take marketing in-house or use an agency debate.  Whilst the debate is largely amongst much larger agencies and equally large clients, it still strikes a chord here at Finkk Marketing.

The Finkk team have always empowered clients to DIY their marketing if they need to ‘cut back’ and if they feel they’re ready and have the time.  No client is tied to a contract. We teach clients whatever they need to know, being ready to step back in whenever they need an extra hand again.  This can easily apply to social media marketing for example, if it is fed from an overall content marketing strategy.  The whole content generation process including curation can also be handled by a client particularly if they understand the impact it has on SEO.

Finkk encourages the creation of a client-specific marketing dashboard providing live data on pre-agreed metrics.  This comes at a nominal monthly fee but it ensures the client can watch their own progress if they’re taking more on themselves.

An area also discussed in the article was agency representatives working on-site.  In fact, the more complex the company and its markets, the better it is for an agency representative to work within the company for say a day a week.

Finkk Marketing offers versatility in 1) the freedom to take marketing activity back in-house (with training having been provided) and 2) working on a client’s premises for a day or more a week/month.
